At Commonwealth Senior Living at Willow Grove, our residents can enjoy beautiful suites, landscaped outdoor areas, and a gazebo overlooking the lake where they can indulge in a good book or conversation, or participate in one of our many activities. Today we’d like to walk you through a day in the life of our residents.
Each morning our residents wake up to a homemade breakfast lovingly made by our Dining Services team. After breakfast, we begin our day with trivia in the courtyard, or by participating in one of our many clubs such as our Sunday Breakfast Club, Walking Club, or Bridge Club.
In the afternoons, we don’t just play Bingo, although we do enjoy a good game from time to time. We have visits from adorable service dogs, enjoy a delicious Dining Delight from our chef, or venture within a couple miles to Pennypack Creek Trail, Masons Mill Park, Willow Grove Pointe Shopping Center, Willow Grove Baptist Church, or Hope Community Church.
As our adventures for the day are wrapping up, our Sweet Memories Neighborhood begins dinner with our Special Touch program. This program provides our residents with a warm towel scented with lavender to sooth and prepare them to relax and promote a restful night’s sleep. We also start off our lunch time with a citrus scented towel which is used for its awakening and refreshing qualities, as well as for stimulating appetites. You can even try this at home!
After our weeks come to a close, we continue the fun through the weekend! Sometimes we spend the evening at cocktail hour or enjoying one of the many amazing local restaurants. Other times, we enjoy a relaxing weekend full of making popcorn, watching movies, and doing a little shopping at Wegman’s.
In addition to these exciting activities, Commonwealth Senior Living at Willow Grove is conveniently located near AMS Cardiology, MidLantic Urology, North American Spine & Pain, Rothman Orthopedics, Jefferson Abington Medical Center, Upper Dublin Family Dentistry, and Hypertension Nephrology Associates for any assistance our residents need outside of our community.
Kimberley, one of our residents’ family members, says “The staff here takes care of my mother like I would. And that, to me, is priceless…It was literally the best decision that we could have made.”
Improving the lives of seniors and their families is central to everything we do at Commonwealth Senior Living. Understanding who our residents are and their history allows us to provide person-centered care in ways that are both positive and meaningful to the residents, their families, and our team. We are grateful to have our residents’ loved ones recognize our ability to do so at Commonwealth Senior Living at Willow Grove as we strive to welcome residents “home.” Read more of what families are saying here.
