With Commonwealth Assurance, we have the ability to put these safeguards and reassurances in place to provide every family with peace of mind.
As the saying goes, the best defense is a good offense. We know that reducing shared surfaces creates less opportunity for any viral threat and allows ease of access for residents, families and associates. In light of this, our team installed state of the art touchless fixtures in early 2021. These upgrades have been implemented at every community and ensure that residents, associates, and visitors alike can enjoy visits in common spaces with peace of mind. These updates include:
- Front Door “Wave to Activate” Access
- Motion Activated Lighting in Common Area Restrooms
- Touchless Faucets, Soap Dispensers, Paper Towel Dispensers, and Automatic Flushing Toilets
While our teams have always provided residents with sparkling clean communities, we have increased the frequency of disinfection techniques as well as the method by which our associates are cleaning. Residents enjoy daily cleaning of their suites and weekly laundry as well as new Electrostatic sprayers with Vital Oxide to disinfect all common surfaces twice per day.
At Commonwealth Senior Living, we welcome families and friends to visit their loved ones. In order to the ensure safety for our residents and associates, we require that all visitors are screened before visits. All visitors sign-in through a system called Accushield. This kiosk ensures that all visitors are screened appropriately including all relevant questions, contact information, and a temperature check.
Since March of 2020, Commonwealth Senior Living has stringently followed CDC guidance and state and local health department directives. This guidance led us to develop a phased opening which is clearly defined here.
To ensure safety, we will continue to:
- Screen residents and associates daily
- Require masks for everyone in the community unless eating of drinking
- Require guests visit by appointment and are screened upon arrival
