Life at Commonwealth Senior Living at Stratford House

We are proud to be a part of the historical community of Danville, Virginia and continue the long heritage of improving the lives of seniors and their families at this gorgeous location. Along with many families in the area who have lived there for generations, all our community leaders are local to Danville.

Today, our residents enjoy the privacy and dignity of their own space with the peace of mind of knowing all maintenance and chores like housekeeping, cooking, upkeep, and linens will be taken care of by our team. Our residents also engage with our signature programs such as MyndVR and farm-to-table dining. The Ruby B. Archie Public Library is right around the corner and their team joins us regularly for our CW Book Club. Another one of our residents' favorite locations to visit is the Danville Symphony Orchestra. Our community loves to sing, dance, get pampered in our salon, visit the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History, and of course, get lots of love during visits from Hearts of Gold Therapy Dogs of Virginia.

In addition to these local cultural activities, the community is conveniently located in the center of Sovah Health - Danville, Danville Neurology Associates, Stratford Rehabilitation Center, and Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. Any assistance our residents need outside of our community is right around the corner.

One of our family members said, "Stratford House is a special place...We were out for dinner and when we returned, the staff kept engaging with my aunt to see how her dinner went and almost everyone I met knew I was coming to town. I feel so good to know my aunt is in the very capable hands of truly loving and invested caregivers." Improving the lives of seniors and their families is central to everything we do at Commonwealth Senior Living. Understanding who our residents are and their history allows us to provide person-centered care in ways that are both positive and meaningful to the residents, their families, and our team. We are grateful to be able to do so at this beautiful community. We're proud to be recognized by U.S. News and World Report as the Best Memory Care in Danville, Virginia for 2023.

We invite you to come explore our community and experience the lifestyle our residents enjoy. Reach out to our team to schedule your tour today.
