My 92 year old Father has called Commonwealth Senior Living home for over a year and in his own words, which he tells us regularly, "I couldn't ask for a better place to call home!" We have been extremely pleased with the caring Staff in every department and the way they are attentive to each residents specific individual needs. From the Administration and Management, the Medical and Nursing, the Dining and Food Service, the Recreation and Activities, the Maintenance and Cleaning and the On Duty Reception Staff, all are most professional and caring. The Resident rooms are comfortable with nice shower/bath and walk-in closet. The Dining/Activity Room is large and not only hosts the 3 meals per day but many recreational activities to include music, excercise, games, and Church Services. The TV room hosts smaller group activities and many video shows, arts & crafts and table games. The Lobby Living Room features a fireplace and comfortable couches and chairs for lounging and visiting. The two Outdoor Terraces have garden areas and patio seating giving residents a safe and secure area to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine and nature. Our family considered many Senior Living Facilities in the New River Valley for Dad's care and new home and after more than a year, we know we made the right choice. We would recommend Commonwealth Senior Living in Radford/Fairlawn to any family making the milestone decision wanting the best care for their Loved One. We feel we made the right decision!
