What makes working at Commonwealth Senior Living different? We truly care about our people. If you’re interested in being part of a team where new ideas and different perspectives are celebrated, you’ve come to the right place.

Jump Start

Every associate’s journey with Commonwealth begins with a new employment orientation program that has been carefully crafted to make you feel welcome and help you succeed from day one.

The Developing Leaders Program

Commonwealth invests in creating a culture of great leaders by bringing every supervisor through a series of workshops. These build the technical foundation of the position and strengthen the characteristics of a great leader, including empathy and coaching.

Center of Excellence

The Center of Excellence is our approach to training our newest leaders where they spend up to a week with the best of the best in their field. While onsite, the new leader learns the key focal points of their role with on-the-job training.

Executive Director in Training (EDIT) Program

EDIT places our new executives on a distinctive career path, working directly with specific communities. Through a combination of classroom instruction and on-the-job experience, they learn from our seasoned leaders in each functional area, Regional Leaders, and Executive Directors – and to use this knowledge as the foundation of a highly fulfilling career.

The Core Values of Commonwealth were created by our team, and we honor and recognize them for authentically living our values. Caregiving is a rewarding and mission-driven career, but not an easy one. We take pride at Commonwealth that our Core Values are not simply nice to have, but the way we work.

Our enhanced cleaning and infection prevention measures are designed to circumvent any potential threat. With Commonwealth Assurance, we have the ability to put these safeguards and reassurances in place to provide every family with peace of mind.

Spotlight: What does it mean to be an apprentice?

Apprenticeships at Commonwealth Senior Living

At Commonwealth Senior Living, our goal is to improve the lives of seniors, their families, and each other. We wouldn’t be able to accomplish this mission without our dedicated frontline associates living out our Core Values each day. We invest in our people and “DO the RIGHT thing” by making sure we provide our associates with the proper training they need to advance their career. While getting paid as you learn new skills, our apprenticeship program aligns perfectly with these goals. We have joined missions to grow our healthcare workforce with Argentum and Hamilton-Ryker through the Healthcare Apprenticeships Expansion Program (HAEP). This program helps address the skills gap in the healthcare industry by growing a strong network of associates with industry-identified needs and allows us to support our associates in building career paths for roles like caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. What is an apprenticeship? Apprenticeships are structured learning programs used to train workers in a particular career. They define career paths, lay out on-the-job training, and classroom (including online) learning for advancement.
