Welcome to Commonwealth Senior Living at the West End, where our residents have the opportunity to live as active a lifestyle as they choose. Yes, they have the quiet of their own private or semi-private suites, but just outside the door is a vibrant community that invites them to get involved, be inspired, and get the most out of every day.

With caregivers on site 24-hours a day, seven days a week, we are ready to provide support and assistance at a moment’s notice. From lending a hand with activities of daily living, such as getting dressed, taking a bath or enjoying a meal to simply sharing a smile, it is our pleasure and privilege to do all we can for our residents.

But don’t just take our word for it. We’re proud to have been recognized as a Top Retirement Community for 2022 by Virginia Living Magazine.

"What They Had" Film Screening - CSL West End

This year we have chosen the film “What They Had” for our screening and discussion group. Besides it being a beautiful work by an award-winning cast, the story is reminiscent of the accounts we’ve heard from so many families over the last 20 years – a mother struggling with cognitive decline as the family reacts in a variety of ways. Adult children are often reluctant to interfere in the lives of their parents but are still concerned Mom or Dad isn’t getting the care they deserve. This journey families take in supporting each other as they age is both emotional and challenging. Being able to experience this from an outside perspective helps us open ourselves to more in-depth conversations within our own families. Come join us to watch the film and for a discussion afterward with our Certified Dementia Practitioners. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We encourage families to join us together as it may spark valuable conversations. Join us for a complimentary viewing and discussion. Seating is limited.
