This year's Annual Conference embraced the theme "All In: Raise the Stakes," inviting our teams to reflect, connect, and lead with bold purpose across our communities.

These leaders represent the very heart of our mission and core values. From innovative ideas to unwavering dedication, their energy and commitment over the past year continue to inspire those around them and set the standard for excellence.

A standout moment of the conference was the opportunity to pause and recognize excellence across our organization. The Awards Ceremony honored individuals who consistently raise the stakes: those who lead with heart, embrace growth, and make a lasting impact in the communities they serve every day. We're delighted to celebrate the 2026 Annual Conference award recipients, whose achievements reflect the very best of Commonwealth Senior Living.

Risky Business Awards  

The Risky Business Awards honor communities that demonstrate excellence in risk management by earning an overall inspection score of 80% or higher. These inspections are comprehensive, evaluating multiple areas designed to identify risk and reinforce safety. In 2025, 28 communities reached this impressive milestone, with three communities earning scores of 85% or higher. Congratulations to the following communities for their outstanding results and commitment to excellence.

Front Line Heroes of the Year 

Our Frontline Heroes are at the heart of our communities, supporting and caring for residents each and every day. Their compassion, dedication, and genuine commitment to making a difference go far beyond expectations. While we receive many outstanding nominations year after year, this year's honorees distinguished themselves through their exceptional service and unwavering devotion to those they serve.

Sabrina Smith | Commonwealth Senior Living at Front Royal

Sabrina's fellow associates describe her as someone who truly embodies the very best of Commonwealth Senior Living. "This associate shows up every single day with unmatched dedication, compassion, and heart. She was a steady source of strength, lifting residents and teammates with her humor, her warmth, and her unwavering commitment. She lives our core values: speaking up, showing up, treating everyone with kindness, and adding value in every moment. This associates resilience is inspiring."

Toccarro Tyler | Commonwealth Senior Living at Radford

Toccarro is recognized by her teammates as someone whose versatility, dedication, and heart make a difference every single day. "This associate has shown what true commitment community looks like. After serving as Dining Services Director, she embraced new opportunities, completing the Hire for Heart program, and quickly becoming one of our most requested Resident Care Associates. She continues to support Dining Services when needed, and now contributes her talents as an activity assistant, as well. This associate is the person who steps in anywhere: concierge, housekeeping, any shift, any department. She speaks up with ideas, celebrates others, and consistently does the right thing. Her care extends to everyone. Residents, associates, and their families. She is reliable, compassionate, and endlessly willing to serve."

Kyle Belton | Commonwealth Senior Living at the Devonshire

Kyle was nominated by his fellow associates, who shared how powerfully he has impacted their community in a remarkably short time. This associate has become a standout presence at our community, exceeding expectations in every part of his role, and bringing initiative, reliability, and a positive attitude that truly lifts our community. Residents absolutely adore him. Whether it's a quick conversation or helping someone solve a concern, this associate listens fully, responds with care, and builds genuine relationships. His customer service, respect and ability to connect with residents and families, show his heart and his professionalism. He goes above and beyond daily, turning challenges into opportunities, stepping in wherever needed, and always making time to support others."

Rising Star Award 

Clive Dixon | Commonwealth Senior Living at Hillsville

The Rising Star Award celebrates an associate who is already making a meaningful impact early in their journey with Commonwealth Senior Living. This year's honoree has quickly distinguished himself through strong leadership, dedication, and a clear commitment to excellence. Colleagues shared the following about the difference he has made within his community:

"This individual's brought a new level of accountability and stability to the community that he serves. He not only is a valued partner to his team, but he tackles every issue head on in a fair, professional, and unbiased manner. Above all else, this recipient always puts others first and is passionate, and I mean passionate about compliance and being at the top of all operations. This individual is a true leader that not only embraces the CSL mission, but conducts his business with the highest level of integrity and loyalty to this community."

We are incredibly proud to recognize Clive Dixon as our Rising Star and look forward to all the great things he will continue to accomplish at Commonwealth Senior Living.

Evolution Award

Laura O'Connell | Commonwealth Senior Living at Manassas

The Evolution Award honors an associate who has embraced change, demonstrated resilience, and led meaningful progress through innovation and adaptability. This year's recipient exemplifies perseverance, redefining what excellence looks like in a demanding role. Her nominators shared the following reflection on her remarkable impact:

"We recognize someone who doesn't just meet expectations, she redefines them. In a role where every conversation matters, and every decision changes lives, excellence isn't optional. It's essential. And she delivers every single day. Goals are something she chases. They're something she consistently exceeds. In all my career, this person is one of the most dedicated and consistent I've ever had the pleasure to know. Her consistency is rare. Her dedication, unwavering, and her standard of excellence raises the bar from everyone around her."

President's Club 

The President's Club recognizes our high‑performing Sales Directors whose dedication and results set them apart. Through their commitment and leadership, they create lasting impact for families and exemplify what it means to be part of the Pineapple Family.

Business Office Manager of the Year

Shanice Allen | Commonwealth Senior Living at Chesterfield

The Business Office Manager of the Year Award honors an associate who leads with excellence in their role, demonstrating exceptional leadership, reliability, and heart.

This year's recipient consistently demonstrates professionalism, grace under pressure, and an unwavering commitment to supporting others. As shared during the awards presentation:

"This year's Business Office Manager of the Year embodies everything we value in leadership, service, and community commitment. She manages a busy front office with grace, professionalism, and dedication, living our Core Values through her actions every day. With an open door, unwavering follow‑through, and a deep commitment to helping others, she has become an invaluable asset to every community she touches."

Resident Program Director of the Year

Cameron Riley | Commonwealth Senior Living at Radford

The Resident Program Director of the Year Award honors an associate who consistently delivers engaging, meaningful, and enriching experiences for residents. This individual brings programs to life through creativity, consistency, and a deep understanding of what brings purpose and joy to those we serve. Her Regional Vice President of Resident Programs, Mary, shared:

"Cameron brings fun to her community with a capital F. And that's 100% accurate. Cameron has some of the most elevated programs in the company. She was one of the first Resident Program Directors to take residents out on a boat, which was really exciting, and now we have boat trips happening all over the place. She paves the way, and she has a lot of fun doing it."

Maintenance Director of the Year

Chris Barker | Commonwealth Senior Living at Christiansburg

The Maintenance Director of the Year Award recognizes an associate whose dedication, expertise, and consistency ensure our communities remain safe, welcoming, and well cared for. Through attention to detail, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility, this individual makes a meaningful impact felt by residents, families, and associates each day. As shared during the ceremony:

"Out of all inspections, we found one community that does exceptionally well. I don't worry about it. His Regional Vice President doesn't worry about it. His Executive Director doesn't worry about it."

Dining Services Director of the Year

Eric Payne | Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Manor

The Dining Services Director of the Year Award recognizes a leader whose passion and commitment have elevated dining services through engagement, creativity, and visibility. Bob Raymond, Vice President of Dining and Procurement, spoke proudly about the impact this individual has made, both within the community and beyond:

"Every program in Dining Services that has been implemented, this individual engaged with it. He not only engaged with it, but he promoted it. He was on CBS 22 different times highlighting Commonwealth Senior Living, Babylon, all the different things that we do, with is Resident Program Director, Robert Frazier, at Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Manor. And I have to tell you, it's just been fantastic. I can't tell you how proud I am of you."

Executive Director of the Year

Jennifer Stanley | Commonwealth Senior Living at Grand Rapids

The Executive Director of the Year Award honors a leader whose influence reaches far beyond their own community. It honors someone whose experience, mentorship, and vision elevate the organization as a whole. Those who nominated this year's recipient shared the following reflection on her extraordinary impact:

"She had a remarkable year. What makes her exceptional isn't one thing, it's a combination of everything she brings to the table. She comes to work with a rare depth of experience. The background of a CNA, a nurse, and even a teacher. That combination shows up every day with clarity, with patience, in a way that makes every, even the most complex situations feel manageable to the people around her. Jennifer, this award is reflection of who you are, as an operator, as a mentor, and as a person. Commonwealth is better because of you."

Resident Care Director of the Year

Mariam Dean | Commonwealth Senior Living at Radford

The Resident Care Director of the Year Award recognizes a leader whose compassion, integrity, and commitment to excellence shape the quality of care within their community. This year's honoree sets the standard not only for clinical excellence, but for the way care is delivered through empathy, trust, and genuine connection. Those who work alongside this leader shared the following:

"We recognize someone who is the very definition of integrity and kindness. These aren't just words they speak. They are values, they live by every single day, every interaction, and in every decision they make. They lead by example, setting the standard for not just clinical excellence, but for compassion. They see potential in others, and bring those to life, growing their team, to be the very best version of themselves. Because of their leadership, people don't just work, they thrive."

Home Office Support Associate of the Year 

Ashley Barber

The Home Office Support Associate of the Year Award recognizes an individual whose behind‑the‑scenes dedication plays a vital role in keeping our communities running smoothly. This year, we are proud to honor someone whose impact is felt companywide. Colleagues shared the following about what makes her such an essential part of Commonwealth Senior Living:

"This person is someone who is truly an irreplaceable asset to our company. She approaches every request with positivity, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to help, making every team member feel valued and respected. Those who train in the office often come back saying the same thing. I love her. She's truly the sweetest. That sentiment is echoed by everyone who has the privilege of working with her. She consistently goes above and beyond, even in the most challenging times, giving her all to CSL. Her impact is felt companywide. She plans conferences that people rave about. She supports others without hesitation, and she tackles every task of excellence, no matter how big or how small. Her kindness, dedication, and unwavering commitment makes her not just an extraordinary colleague, but a cornerstone of our culture."

Regional Support Associate of the Year

The Regional Support Associate of the Year Award recognizes a leader who consistently exemplifies our Core Values while providing exceptional, steady support across multiple communities. This year's honoree is someone colleagues rely on without hesitation, bringing clarity, confidence, and integrity to every situation. Those who nominated them described their impact this way:

"They raise the stakes every single day: cool under pressure, sharp as a tack, and always the one that everyone counts on. Whether mentoring rising stars, or navigating tough times, they bring clarity, confidence, and just the right touch of calm. As a regional, they juggle multiple communities like a pro, keeping standards high, details tight, and integrity in front of everything. No matter the hand that they are dealt, they show up, step up, and deliver every time. They build a winning team, and they do it all with humility and heart. Never flashy, just consistently exceptional."

Community Excellence Award

The Community Excellence Award honors a Commonwealth Senior Living community that has set an exceptional standard for resident care, teamwork, and operational performance. This award goes beyond metrics or milestones. It recognizes what happens when mission truly meets performance and when passion, execution, and heart come together in meaningful ways.
