On October 6, 2025, at the beautiful Club at Glenmore, our CSL family came together for a day that was more than just golf—it was a celebration of community, compassion, and enduring legacy. The annual Commonwealth Cares Charity Golf Tournament has always been a cherished tradition, bringing together associates, sponsors, and Professional Partners to support our 501(c)(3) foundation, which provides financial assistance to associates and their families during life's most challenging moments.
This year's tournament carried a profound sense of purpose and remembrance, as it was held in honor of Ashley Williams, our beloved Director of Administrative Services, and her husband, Stephen, who tragically lost their lives in a house fire just one day prior. Ashley and Stephen were a true team whose devotion to each other and their family was unmatched. Together, they built a home of laughter, love, and kindness, and their greatest joy was being parents to their two precious daughters. Ashley's dedication, warmth, and service were the heart of Commonwealth Senior Living, and her leadership and compassion were instrumental in the success of Commonwealth Cares since its inception. In recognition of her legacy, the event was renamed the Ashley Williams Memorial Commonwealth Cares Golf Tournament.
Earl Parker, President and CEO, shared, "Ashley was so much more than a coworker for 17 years. She was the heart of our community and the one who would get anything done. From planning events to caring and listening, she always did it with a smile and a word of encouragement. She was the person we all turned to professionally and personally, a loyal friend and trusted confidant, and a source of light and calm, no matter how busy things got."
Richard Brewer, Founder, added, "She really was a wonderful woman on this Earth. She loved the company deeply. She cares about each of us, and we're going to do what we need to do to take care of her kids and give back for all that she's done."
