Life at Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Manor

At Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Manor, we believe it's the listening ear that is offered to residents and their families, the love and care we pour into each and every resident, and our associates' desire to serve seniors that provides the lifestyle our residents deserve. Our residents are able to relax with the peace of mind that comes with 24-hour support as well as the comfort of dignified, respectful help with daily activities like getting dressed or taking a bath. But that's only the beginning.

We start our days with daily exercise and stretching with exciting programs like Moovin' and Groovin, yoga ball exercises, or group chair exercises. Afterwards, we may enjoy a little friendly competition during balloon volleyball or cornhole. On top of all the fun we have, our residents also get together for more serious topics during their monthly Resident Counsel meetings. We value our residents opinions and these meetings are a time for our residents to make suggestions or voice any concerns they may have, vote on activities they would like to take part in, or bring up anything else they'd like to discuss. Over the weekends, we relax with happy hour, church services, or our weekly front porch chats. Check out what else is going on in our community this month here.

Additionally, right outside the community, our residents can enjoy the outdoors at Bells Mill Park or Great Bridge Lock Park along the beautiful Elizabeth River. Followed by shopping at Dominion Commons, Great Bridge Shopping Center, or Glenwood Square and a bite to eat at Plaza Azteca, Skrimp Shack, or Winston's Raw Bar & Grill. In addition to these local activities, our community is conveniently located near Chesapeake Center for Complete Dentistry, Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Neurology Consultants of Tidewater, and Bon Secour Maryview Hospital. Any assistance our residents need outside of our community is right around the corner.

Improving the lives of seniors and their families is central to everything we do at Commonwealth Senior Living. Understanding who our residents are and their history allows us to provide person-centered care in ways that are both positive and meaningful to our residents, their families, and our team. We're grateful to be able to do so at this beautiful community.
