Learning your loved one has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease or another form of dementia can feel like stepping into uncharted territory. It's natural to feel a mix of emotions including concern for their well-being, uncertainty about what lies ahead, and the desire to provide the best care possible. At Commonwealth Senior Living, we understand how complex this journey can be. That's why we're here to guide you every step of the way, offering compassionate care, personalized support, and the reassurance for your loved one to feel safe and supported in their new home.
What Is Memory Care?
Memory Care is specialized support tailored for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Unlike other levels of care in senior living, Memory Care focuses on meeting the unique challenges that accompany memory loss.
Residents often require more structured schedules, a secure environment to minimize wandering risks, and therapies or activities designed to stimulate their cognitive abilities. Memory Care also provides emotional and practical support for families, helping them better understand and manage their loved one's condition. We also provide additional support through a monthly Virtual Caregiver Support Group. If you are interested in joining this group or learning more, please contact caregiversupport@commonwealthsl.com.
Sweet Memories™ Program at Commonwealth Senior Living
Memory Care at Commonwealth Senior Living is elevated through Sweet Memories™, an award-winning program designed to meet the needs of our residents. This program combines specialized care with enriching activities that bring a sense of purpose, dignity, and connection.
